HERNDON, VA - December 11, 2006 - Objective Interface Systems, Inc. today announced that its ORBexpress® communications middleware family now supports Texas Instruments Incorporated’s (TI’s) DaVinci™ technology, including TI’s TMS320DM644x system-on-chips (SoCs). Embedded developers can now use the small-footprint ORBexpress middleware to easily leverage the performance benefits of TI’s DaVinci technology. ORBexpress enables code portability across both the TMS320C64x+™ DSP and ARM® cores of the DM644x devices, speeding development of a host of digital video processing applications—client-side video, security video surveillance, set-top boxes, video phones, automotive vision systems and more—for which DaVinci technology has been optimized. “DaVinci technology is much more than a silicon platform,” said Greg Mar, worldwide SoC marketing manager, TI. “It encompasses optimized software, hardware and tools that allow TI developers to get products to market quickly.
