Objective Interface Announces ORBexpress Supports Small-footprint, Royalty-free ThreadX RTOS |
HERNDON, VA - April 3, 2006 - Objective Interface Systems, Inc., the global leader in high-performance, real-time and embedded communications middleware, today announced that ORBexpress®, the world’s most popular high-performance object request broker (ORB), now supports the ThreadX® real-time operating system (RTOS) from Express Logic. Objective Interface customers will now be able to use the royalty-free ThreadX RTOS—which occupies only a tiny footprint on the embedded target—in resource-constrained applications such as digital cameras, wireless systems and audio processors. Objective Interface developers will also use ThreadX to design high-performance, highly deterministic embedded applications, such as factory floor controllers, advanced telemetry systems and medical electronics. “By supporting ThreadX from Express Logic, we can now offer our communications middleware customers a very high-performance RTOS that is both extremely small and royalty-free,” said Joe Jacob, senior vice president, Objective Interface Systems, Inc. “We fully expect that our customers will benefit from the cost, size, speed and ease-of-use of the ThreadX operating system.” “We are pleased that Objective Interface as the performance leader in communications middleware is now supporting our ThreadX operating system,” said John Carbone, vice president, Express Logic, Inc. “The extremely small footprint and fast speed of ORBexpress provides an ideal high-performance communications infrastructure for the ThreadX user community. We look forward to working with Objective Interface—a company that has helped thousands of embedded developers in diverse markets to achieve their goals—by supporting their customers for whom performance and small footprint are critically important.” About ORBexpress Availability About Express Logic and ThreadX PRESS CONTACTS (not for publication): OBJECTIVE INTERFACE VETRANO COMMUNICATIONS |
