Bill Beckwith
CEO, Chief Technology Officer and co-founder

Widely considered to be a leading expert in CORBA technology he has led the charge in the acceptance of CORBA in the real-time and embedded communities.

Bill has guided the growth of OIS while playing a critical role in the development of cutting edge communications software products. Instrumental in OIS's dramatic growth over the past years, he has positioned the Company to be a leader in real-time and embedded communications software. He has attained a high degree of respect in the real-time community for his ability to advance the state of the art in distributed real-time theory, innovate new technology, and communicate those innovations to the market.

Bill has over 21 years experience in sales, engineering and business development. Prior to OIS, he held both engineering and sales positions with several software and telecommunications companies including Interbase Software Corp., Systems Center Inc., UCCEL, Inc., STSC, Inc. and MCI Communications, Inc. He has a B.S. degree in Accounting and a B.S. degree in Finance from Florida State University. Bill spends what free time he has writing software and skiing. 

Joseph M Jacob
Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Joseph M. Jacob, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, leads the company's sales, marketing, business development and product management teams. Joe joined OIS in 2003. Prior to joining OIS, Joe's work experience included leading the international business development and strategy function for America Online, Inc., as well as being the chief international lawyer for Viacom and its subsidiaries.

His career has included stints abroad in England, France and the Czech Republic. He has a B.A. degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a double major in economics and political science, and his J.D. degree from the Harvard Law School.

Charles Rush
Vice President, Software Engineering Group

Charles Rush, Vice President, Software Engineering group, joined OIS in 2000.

Charles has spent the past ten years involved in the development, installation, and support of complex communication systems. Charles earned a B.S. degree in Naval Architecture from the United States Naval Academy.

Joe G Thompson
Vice President, Hardware Engineering Group

Joe G. Thompson, Vice President, Hardware Engineering Group, leads the company's hardware architecture and design efforts. Joe has an extensive background in developing specialized computing architectures for tracking complex computational problems. His previous experience includes developing custom hardware to accelerate novel signal processing algorithms, to optimize multicomputer communications, and to add fault tolerance to "soft" mission-critical systems.

Before joining OIS in 2007, Joe served as president of Advanced Principles Group, a consulting company focusing on complex FPGA design. Joe also worked previously at Sanders, a Lockheed Martin Company and the Department of Defense. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Mississippi State University.

Kevin Buesing
Manager, Technology Services

Kevin Buesing, Manager, Technology Services, leads the company's support and training teams. He joined OIS in 1997.

Kevin graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a B.S. degree in Computer Science.
