Marketing Coordinator

Objective Interface Systems is a worldwide leader in high performance, real-time communications middleware. We sell our products to a wide variety of industries, including defense and aerospace, medical equipment, banking, transportation, robotics, telecommunications, data communications, and industrial automation and process control systems.

Our products are used in a wide variety of mission-critical systems where failure is not an option. This includes nuclear ignition facilities, C4I systems, MRI medical devices, avionics (including flight management systems), the U.S. Joint Strike Fighter program, ATM machines, the U.S. F-22 program, the U.S. THAAD program (Theater High-Altitude Area Defense, the missile defense program), the new U.S. Presidential Helicopter, and a wide variety of other mission-critical systems.

OIS is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to be based at our headquarters in Northern Virginia. Objective Interface is a growing, profitable company with an aggressive plan for self-funded growth. This position has a wide range of responsibilities, including:

  • Researching trade shows, registering the company for trade shows, and preparing and coordinating OIS's presence at the trade shows
  • Work with OIS partners for development of joint webinars and seminars
  • Updating the company's website
  • Optimizing content on the OIS website
  • Ability to understand and translate technology offerings into compelling messages
  • Developing and implementing online marketing campaigns
  • Researching and developing email marketing campaigns
  • SWOT analysis for going into new markets
  • Develop marketing approaches for new markets
  • Google Adwords optimization, and SEO analysis and optimization
  • Coordinating other members of the sales and marketing team to develop and launch new marketing collateral
  • Analyze competitors' marketing collateral and online presence
  • Help develop customer satisfaction surveys and analysis
  • Coordinating press releases, including coordinating the drafting, review and release of the press releases
  • Work with online and print publications for coverage of OIS press releases, news and whitepapers
  • Coordinate third-party writers for whitepapers, articles, etc.
  • Overall support of the sales and marketing functions of the company

You will never be bored. We do not expect a candidate to have all of the skills above in the beginning, just an eagerness to learn new things and apply themselves rigorously to the project.

There is substantial growth potential in the company for the right person for this position. OIS generally promotes people from within for positions - we only go outside to hire when we do not have the right internal candidates.

A Bachelor's in Marketing, Communications or Business is preferred, but a disciplined work attitude, eagerness to learn, good organizational skills and excellent communication skills go a long way in satisfying the requirements for the ideal candidate. We need self-starters who can take the initiative on their own.

The successful candidate will be located in, or willing to relocate to, the Washington D.C./Northern Virginia metro region.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: Position may require occasional travel.
